About us

actnow is a non-profit partnership that aims to promote economic development in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly through the use of broadband and ICT. Led by Cornwall Enterprise and funded by the EU through Objective One, it has spearheaded the development of broadband in Cornwall and has supported nearly 10,000 small and medium sized businesses.

Our latest venture, actnow flex, which is funded by the South West of England Regional Development Agency, is a pilot project that has supported 50 small and medium sized businesses in the South West of England to adopt flexible working practices. The project has looked in depth at the benefits and issues associated with flexible working and has used these findings s to develop the toolkit available through this website, to help other businesses across the South West introduce flexible working.

On the actnow flex project, actnow have teamed up with leading experts in flexible working from the Future Work Forum at Henley Management College and SustainIT to bring a wider perspective and ensure that this toolkit is leading edge.
